DRIVING: We can meet or I can deliver the puppy to your home. This is up to a maximum of an 800 mile round-trip (400 miles one-way). The fee is .35 cents per mile. Example a 100 mile roundtrip is $35. Maximum 800 mile roundtrip is $280. For any trips taking over 4 hours one way, a $65 hotel fee will be charged.
FLYING: I can fly your puppy to you. The puppy travels with me in the cabin of the plane in a soft carrier. You and I meet in person at the airport. This is a wonderful option if you live far away. This fee is $500 - $800 for the lower 48 states, however if you live outside of the lower 48 the price might be more -- we can verify the fee in advance. The standard $500 - $800 fee covers the flight (round-trip), the fee for the puppy to fly ($125), 1/2 the hotel fee ($150) and other airport/travel expenses such as airport parking ($38), gas for 220 mile round-trip drive to and from the airport ($50). I scour all the different webpages and sites for the cheapest travel package I can find. Once a package has been found, that amount will be due immediately and will also be non-refundable.
Breeders that ship the puppy with luggage charge anywhere from $350 to $500 and the puppy is shipped in the cargo hold with no person available to care for the puppy -- the puppy is literally with the luggage. The breeder is also not at the airport to be accountable if there is an issue once the puppy arrives or if the puppy fails to arrive at all or if is the wrong puppy. As soon as I book the flight I forward that information to the family in an email. I hand deliver the puppy directly to you at the airport and we sign the paperwork in person.
We do not OVERCHARGE for this service. We make no money on this service at all. We will break even or come out just slightly in the red on this service. We provide this option as a courtesy to our new fur familes that live far away. We don't want distance to be an issue for anyone not joining our fur family.
